- Tell a story and give examples that people can relate to
- Limit yourself to between 300 and 500 words. This is an ideal length for most ezines.
- Give a few steps that your reader can take to make your idea work for them.
- Add a call to action. Articles are more effective when there is a call to action.
If you deliver valuable information, people are more likely to be interested in your offer and click throught to your website.
Make good use of your resource box at the end of your article. The resource box is where you get to sell your reader on going to your website, subscribing to your ezine, or buying a product.
Marketing with articles is a win win situation.

- The reader wins because your article is valuable information
- You win because you get your message in front of hundreds, sometimes thousands of people who wouldn’t otherwise know about you and what you have to offer

If you struggle to get started with writing, try speaking your article instead. Decide on a question that people want the answer to, record your answer and then type it out.
