What’s a mini guide? A mini guide is simply another name for a short report, I just happen ot prefer the term mini guide rather than short or small report. I think it flows better and describes what the buyer is getting.

There are a number of ways to create a mini gudie. You can simply

• Collect together articles on the same topic, put them in a logical order and write a few connecting sentences and a conclusion
• Take a 3, 5, 7, tips article and write an article about each tip - put them together in a document and you’ve produced a mini guide
• Collect together a list of maybe 30 or 50 tips and you have a mini guide that you can sell easily sell for around $7 on the Internet.

I know it doesn’t sound like a lot of money and you’re not going to get rich unless you hit on a hot topic, get lots of exposure and sell thousands, but it’s a start.

I love it when I get an email that tells me I’ve sold another mini guide. It’s a great feeling to get up in the morning, go to my computer and see that I’ve made sales while I’ve slept.

A $7 product is a great starting point, it gives your visitors an opportunity to demonstrate buying behaviour, and once they buy something, they’re on your list. It’s much easier to sell to someone who has already bought something from you than it is to get a new customer.
