Writing articles is easy. If you can write a “newsy” letter, or tell your friend how to grow plants from seed, or explain how to potty train a toddler, you can write articles.
It really doesn’t matter that you weren’t much good at writing essays because article writing isn’t academic writing - you just need to be able to write clearly.

Read articles about topics in your niche and as you read them, take notice of how the words are strung together. You’ll soon notice that articles written for online consumption generally have shorter sentences, short paragraphs and simple language.
When you’re writing articles, your main concern is making your articles easy to read. Most publishers aren’t concerned with your writing style, they’re looking for articles that are informative, orignal and easy to ready. Write like you would talk to a friend.
When you’re writing your articles, it will help if you have a specific person in mind, then you can write your article specifically for them. Don’t write to please yourself.
Write to attract and interest your typical internet surfer. You need to catch their attention within seconds. If you write for you, you could find that you’re one of the few people to read your articles!
