Writing short articles is easy when you write about a topic you know well. If you’re struggling to get started with writing articles or finding it hard to write a lot of articles quickly, choose a topic you know a lot about and start by creating simple article outlines.
Start with a working title
You can complete the title when you’ve finished writing your article.
Write a few lines about your article
Now you have a very simple article outline You could take this a step further, create bullet points and add ideas for each bullet point.
This is just a skeleton outline that will kickstart the process of helping your brain to start thinking and writing. It will help to getyour subconscious mind working in the background and will and get you over the hurdle of a blank piece of paper or blank screen.
I know it sounds simple. Try it and see if this strategy works for you.
All you need is a working title and a few lines outlining what your article is about. Or a few bullet points that you can flesh out later.
Creating an outline helps you to write more articles in less time, because creating an outline prepares your mind to write. It primes the pump.
Once you have an outline to work with, your subconscious will kick in and begin to flesh the article out.
Sometimes simply getting an article idea and outlining it in your head while you’re doing something else, is enough to enable you to sit down and write the article quickly at one sitting. It’s simply a matter of downloading it onto the screen because you’ve already written it in your head.
Give it a try; this simple strategy could be the key you’ve been looking for to help you write more articles more quickly.
